Huneo was founded in 2009 with the idea of bringing advanced techniques for real-time data capture, telemetry and historization, to the Healthcare environment.  We have many years of experience in developing and selling massive real-time and time-series data historian systems.  

Our mission is to provide the Healthcare Industry with an innovative infrastructure to meet the growing needs for efficient capture, storage, and dissemination of human derived time series information beyond the limitations of dedicated on-site systems.  We are a company with a proven ability to provide end-to-end, on-line data capture and management solutions.  With our products, healthcare providers can screen, diagnose, and monitor health parameters in real-time, providing instantaneous access to historical data and creating health trends for both individuals and large groups of people, anywhere in the world.


Alex Zheng

President and co-founder of Huneo, LLC

Before founding Huneo in 2009, Dr. Zheng was a Director of Development for OSIsoft, the world's leading provider of time-series data historian and real-time information management systems. He was responsible for managing the development of OSIsoft’s flagship product, the PI System server, as well as interfaces to third party systems, analytical tools, and remote management products. 

From 1996 to 2000, Dr. Zheng was a Professor in Chemical Engineering at the University of Massachusetts, Amherst.
Dr. Zheng received a BS in Chemical Engineering at Clemson University in 1990, and a PhD in Chemical Engineering and Dynamical Control Systems at the California Institute of Technology in 1995. Dr. Zheng has won many prestigious awards in his career, including the National Science Foundation’s CAREER Award and UMass’s College of Engineering Teacher of the Year.

Phil Ryder

CEO and co-founder of Huneo, LLC

Before founding Huneo in 2009, Mr. Ryder was President and founder of Accelerated Information Technologies, Inc. AIT provides engineering and sales and marketing consulting services for businesses that work in or sell to the process industries, as well as Business Intelligence and analytical tools for operating companies in the process industries. Prior to starting up AIT Mr. Ryder was Executive Vice President for Sales and Marketing for OSIsoft. During his tenure at OSIsoft Mr. Ryder was responsible for building software sales from $2 million dollars per year to over $90 million dollars per year at the time of his departure from OSI. He was responsible for all aspects of OSIsoft's business that involved contact with customers, including worldwide sales, marketing, technical support, field service, and customer training. Prior to joining OSIsoft, Mr. Ryder was Director of Chemical Industry Marketing at Bailey Controls (a division of ABB).

Mr. Ryder received a BS in Chemical Engineering from Purdue University in 1981, and a Masters in Business Administration from Case Western Reserve University in 1986.
